Accommodation - stay stay stay.
There is a wide range of accommodation through out the
D'Entrecasteaux Peninsular (Channel) and Huon Valley areas, from free camping
areas (Gordon and Cockle Creek - toilet but no water at either camping
areas) Cabins Talune Farm Cabins
at Gardners Bay are the most reasonably priced cabins in the State.
Caravan Parks at Cygnet and Southport plus scores of B & B's
plus hotel accommodation in the larger towns.
Remember there is a lot to see and do in the area south of Hobart. Wonderful
scenery wineries, boutique cheeses and other products art galleries, crafts
people (Me - The Rock Shop, for one !!) attractions, walks and
some of the most spectacular coastal scenery around. History abounds from
the early navigators such as Cook, Bligh, Flinders and D'Entrecasteaux to
mention but a few.
Travel as far south in Australia by road - that's correct, the most southern
point in Australia barring Macquarie Island, is but a few miles south of
Hastings caves. see the sculpture of the baby Southern Wright Whale at
Cockle Creek
Willie the Whale !
Remember when that is all done there's Bruny Island -
packed with coastal Views and History.

Susie says. "when you are visiting my Boss Mike
at the Rock Shop please come and give me a pat."
